Ramandeep cops fine after Code of Conduct breach

Ramandeep Singh, the batting allrounder for KKR, has been penalized 20% of his match costs for violating the IPL Code of Conduct. The event took place during KKR’s victory over Mumbai Indians on Saturday (May 11), which secured their position in the IPL playoffs.

Ramandeep has been found guilty of a Level 1 offense as defined in Article 2.20. This article encompasses any behavior that goes against the principles of fair play and is not explicitly addressed by other offenses included in this Code of Conduct.

In addition, the article specifies that while evaluating the severity of the offense, the specific circumstances and whether it was intentional, careless, negligent, preventable, and/or unintentional should be taken into account. In addition, the individual filing the Report will be responsible for assessing the level of severity of the conduct, which ranges from mild (Level 1 Offence) to severely serious (Level 4 Offence).

Ramandeep played a rapid and undefeated innings of 17 runs, which included hitting a six off the last ball bowled by Jasprit Bumrah. This helped KKR to a total score of 157/7, which they successfully defended.
